About us
My professional
career in advertising, fashion & photo reportage has taken me
to all corners of the UK, working for magazines and design agencies. I
have found that my instinct for capturing people off-guard is perfectly
in tune with today's weddings - resulting in a modern, unique and
timeless approach to your wedding - one that will give you fond
memories for years to come.
How we work
I work
with my partner Eva
Mutter who had a career as a picture researcher
for The Herald for over 9 years. Having two skilled photographers
ensures a relaxed atmosphere on your special day. Our aim is to produce
distinctive, relaxed, fashion-led images. Prior to your wedding we'll
meet you to discuss your day, show you album samples and help you
decide on a photographic timetable so that you have plenty of time to
celebrate the day and enjoy the company of your guests. We do not have
a 'one formula fits all' approach and we treat every wedding as the
unique occasion that it is. We will take as many photographs as there
are opportunities, some candid, some classic. We work calmly, quickly
and unobtrusively ensuring that your day remains exactly that - yours!
We love taking pictures of people and hope that our enthusiasm comes
across in our pictures. Above all we will provide you with beautiful
images that capture the spirit and fun of your day, that can be
presented in an album for you to treasure for years to come.
The day in more detail
Eva often begins
the day taking pictures of the wedding party getting ready for the big
event and quietly photographs any detail that will be fondly
remembered. She may capture mum attending to the buttonholes, the bride
giggling with bridesmaids whilst sipping champagne to calm the nerves.
I can be found photographing the guys practising a speech or having a
wee dram. We cover the ceremony from as many viewpoints as possible and
like to get intimate shots of the marriage vows if allowed, though this
often depends on the type of ceremony; otherwise we will shoot from a
distance with a longer lens. Once the ceremony is concluded and guests
are mingling at the reception venue we'll ask the bride and groom to
spare us some time away from the crowd to take some personal photos.
We'll also organise any group shots at this time and try to do these
with the minimum of fuss and the maximum speed. The rest of the day and
evening will be candidly and unobtrusively covered and these are often
the most interesting and enjoyable shots. We like to stay on throughout
the party to capture the dancing and high jinx (dependant on package/
option chosen)
